Grey Wind, named after Robb Stark’s direwolf in the Game of Thrones saga, is the mastiff/staffie, melon headed, living embodiment of the loyal, intelligent, and intuitive best friend. Grey Wind came to us when we found out he was about to be thrown into the streets for being a ‘dirty dog’. He since was adopted but returned due to a Change in life circumstances.
Now, Grey Wind is 3-4 years old, the 65lb mastiff mix was anything but. His steel coloring and silver eyes are no less enchanting than his personality. Grey Wolf adores meeting people and other dogs. He’s phenomenal with children, adults, and dogs. At the vet’s office he found it appropriate to lick a puppy’s face as one would a lollipop. When the pup growled and told him he had enough of his tongue’s wet embrace, Grey Wind was completely ok with it. He politely walked away.
After spending a minute with Grey Wind, you cannot help but fall in love. He will sit, give you paw, and then use you as his chair. Completely calm and docile, he doesn’t mind getting a bath. We feel he thinks it is a free body massage. This big handsome boy does well in the car and eagerly keeps you company in any situation. He also enjoys walking on the beach and sitting by your side. His favorite, though, is giving you a kiss in return for your love. Grey Wind is a marvelous companion.
Who ever is fortunate enough to adopt him will have a lifelong friend, one that is unparalleled in this world. Even though he is large and muscular, he walks like a complete gentleman on the leash, leaving tons of slack. Grey Wind would truly do well in any home. However, one without cats is best. He is a pliant gentle soul, worthy to be the sigil of your home.
