Queso is the perfect pairing to your sweet vino of life. He is just 5 years young, 55lbs, and good with dogs. Given his sad past, he just asks you do slow and gradual introductions with him, guiding him to trust.
Queso found himself at the emergency vet after being attacked by another resident dog in his home. He and the large mastiff grew up together (Queso had been with him since he was 8 weeks old). One day, the owners went out and came home to find Queso was near death. The other dog attacked him. The reason remains a mystery. They were very close! The owners left Queso at the vet and said they could not safely separate the dogs and could not bring him home. The vet contacted us and we took over his care. While hospitalized, Queso had the best care and proved to be the ultimate of grateful guests! He was the star of the clinic, stealing everyone’s hearts with his resilience and love.
When he was ready, coincidentally on NYE, Queso entered foster care. Since arriving to his incredible foster parents, Queso healed physically and mentally. He is now ready for his forever.
Queso loves the outdoors, hiking, and sunbathing. He is also an avid fan of naps, snacks, and cuddles. Everyone that meets Queso is in awe of his inner beauty. The outside scars are just his new beauty marks. Any home would be lucky to have this boy as a part of their family. He is a complete gentleman, loves the car, and will never leave your side.
