What can we say about Tater Tot? A former resident of the NYACC euthanasia list, Tater Tot’s new life began the day it was supposed to end. She was sentenced to death because she caught a cold. Tater Tot is about 45lbs and estimated to be between 5 and 7 years old. With her adorable wrinkled face, petite compact size, and wiggle ways, we believe she is an English bulldog mix.
Although we do not know all of Tater Tot’s history, we know her former life was not one you would wish upon any dog, or human. She shows signs of being over bred. When the former humans no longer had any use for her, she was discarded like a piece of rotten food. Despite all she’s endured, Tater Tot continues to be a complete love bug- lavishing at the opportunity to score a belly rub, adoring all humans that come her way, and engaging in romps with her canine foster sister. She is also notorious for her piglet grunts!
Tater Tot was found as a stray in the streets of New York City and picked up by Animal control. Once pulled by TPR, we discovered that, in addition to her cold, she was also heartworm positive. This poor girl was simultaneously fighting two very tough battles, both inhibiting her ability to breathe. Thankfully, she overcame BOTH illnesses!
Please share her story and this album to help her forever family find her.
