Kingston~ A Twenty Paws Inspiration

posted in: Adopted Paws 0

Kingston is our handsome red nose pit bull, which is now a lifer in Twenty Paws rescue. It was love at first site between him and Linda, the co-owner of Twenty Paws Rescue. For unknown reasons, Kingston was surrendered to a high kill shelter in New York. During his initial intake, the shelter staff labeled Kingston as a severely aggressive dog. This is a particularly devastating categorization for any shelter dog because their chance of escaping euthanasia in Manhattan ACC is dreadfully poor. When a remarkable and devoted volunteer noticed Kingston cowered in the back of his kennel shaking with fear, our beloved boy gained an angel by his side. During his brief stay at the shelter, this volunteer made every effort to work with Kingston, teaching him to trust her and showing him how to regain his courage. When we heard about Kingston’s incredible fight for survival and his distressing story of abandonment and fear, Linda instantly knew she would be the one to give Kingston his forever life back. He now lives in doggy bliss in Pennsylvania where he is loved, spoiled, and forever free with his fur siblings Bailey, India, Sonny, and Irie.
