Esmeralda, nicknamed “Ezzy”, is our little sweetheart. She was dumped at a high kill shelter down south when she was only 10 weeks old. Barely old enough to be separated from her mother, Ezzy’s owners surrendered her because they didn’t have time for her anymore. After Twenty Paws saw her at the shelter, they inquired about her to the shelter staff. The staff informed the rescue that she was painfully and incredibly depressed, crying in her kennel all-day and trembling in fright. This was another no brainer for Twenty Paws. We immediately pulled Ezzy from the shelter and arranged for transportation to her northeastern foster home. Ezzy is getting a second chance at life.
Ezzy was adopted by a loving home and living forever free in Staten Island.
