WE COULD REALLY USE YOUR HELP! As most of you know we have our beloved Cinnamon in boarding currently. Months ago, we received a plea to pull Cinnamon and make her a Twenty Paws dog. The shelter found hope, beauty, and loyalty in Cinnamon. They saw a fire and energy unparalleled to any other dog they’ve encountered before. At the time, as we still are, we were 100% full and did not have a single place in our foster homes for one more dog. The day before she was scheduled to be killed, the shelter staff reached out to Twenty Paws yet again to rescue Cinnamon. This would be her 10th time on the day’s euthanasia list; each previous time, the shelter staff fought a battle and found covert and creative ways to spare her life. Time and time again they did all they could to save her life. However, their tenacity was no longer enough. Twenty Paws had two choices, turn their back on a dog that stole our hearts, or take her all the way from TN to NY. Although the choice was easy, there was still one serious obstacle looming over their heads. There were no open foster homes for darling Cinnamon; thus, their only option was boarding until they could find a foster home that fits her needs. Once a foster home is found, we plan on hiring a professional trainer to work with Cinnamon. Our goal is to make her into a perfectly adoptable dog. Please consider helping us pay for her boarding and training. Twenty Paws continuously takes on difficult cases that come hand in hand with high medical bills, such as a dog hit by a car and an emaciated neglected mother and her 5 day old puppies. Cinnamon’s life depended on Twenty Paws as much as these other dogs’. Please help us continue saving lives.
