LAYLA ADOPTED 10/20/12 LIVING FOREVER FREE IN NEW YORK
Many of you may remember our Layla when we put out an urgent plea for her on facebook. She was left tied to a pole in the city on the hottest day of the year this summer. When we picked Layla up she had brutal sunburn plus many other health issues. When we found Layla she was a young puppy. Here she is today thriving, healthy, and loved. Layla now Lola is adored by her new family.
Thank You to Adopt NY for your wonderful adoption even that has officially facilitated three adoptions total. Thank You to her foster family who cared for her and prepared her for a new life.
Meet our darling Layla. She a beautiful pittie girl that is between 4-6 months old. In her short time on this Earth, Layla has endured so much. She was found at 3am tied to a tree in a dog park. Poor girl was tied out there during one of the hottest day of the summer. When given water, she pretty much inhaled it as fast as doggily possible. She is now in a foster home and truly enjoying her stay with her loving foster parents and brother. This angel was so happy to be in loving arms and out of harm’s way, that she took to her name immediately! Her foster mommy and daddy are working with her on potty training and basic commands. She is a smart girl and catching on quickly! Within a couple days she learned to use the wee wee pad and sit. Now she is working through learning to give her paw and walking like a lady on the leash. She is grasping it all so quickly; we know she will be a professional in no time. Furthermore, Layla enjoys playing with her foster brother and other dogs and loves all humans. She is especially fond of children and approaches them armed with wiggles and kisses. Also, on her list of hobbies are cuddling and snoozing. Layla loves nothing more than to snuggle up next to you and nuzzle her head close. She is also very well behaved in the home and not destructive. This princess is best described as a calm girl with spunk. However, if you want to ignore her personality, her classic big brown puppy dog eyes are enough to win over anyone’s heart. The stellar disposition is just a bonus ;-).
