Meet Bruiser, the dynamic, adaptable, and super loving 7 year old 50 (ish) lb black lab mix. This boy enjoys the company of other dogs, loves the outdoors, and makes an excellent walking/running partner. Bruiser just LOVES his humans, especially the kids. He is the perfect notification system. As soon as a new person is in sight, you will be made aware! Bruiser is totally, completely, and utterly sweet, absorbing all the affection he can get. Don’t worry he dishes it right back! Bruiser is a happy, happy boy just waiting to play and enjoy your company!
Bruiser came to TPR after a horrible accident You see, orignally he was purchased from a souther breeder and brought to CT to be a garage dog, which is where he lived most ofhis life. When the garage was invated and robbed in the middle of the night, the intruders let Bruiser out into the streets. When he ran out, a car hit him. Humans found Bruiser the next morning and rushed him to the vet. Due to this accident 2 things happened in his life. Frist, he was paralyzed. Second, his humans did not want him anymore. He failed them as their alarm system. He failed them because he was no longer a ‘healthy’ dog. That could not be further from the truth! Bruiser is as healthy as it gets and full of energy. The vet took care of him and contacted us. When he was well, the vet staff, who is completely enamored with him drove him to our foster home! This boy adapted to all of his life changes within the blink of an eye. Bruiser is tolerant of being wiped, washed, put in and out of his wheels, and whatever you need to do to take care of him. Generally, Bruiser is a laid back and happy to go with the flow kind of dude.
