Meet Scooter, our 1 year and 8 months old Doxie! We rescued him from his 6th home. He originally came from Ohio and found himself in Brooklyn. In Ohio he went through 5 homes until the shelter picked him up from the last one. They confiscated him because his ‘owners’ just tied him up outside all day long and left him to face the elements alone. There he weighed half of what he should and was nothing but skin and bones! Now he is back to a healthy, and even slightly chunky, weight. But don’t tell him he is chunky! He prefers to be called big boned! When Twenty Paws got him, he melted right into our arms, anxious to give us kisses and shamelessly soliciting pets and hugs. Scooter gets along with other dogs and people; however, we are unsure about how he would do with cats. He is housebroken, up to date on vaccinations, and neutered. He is also a gentleman on the leash.
Scooter was adopted and living forever free in Long Island, NY. Finally, he is loved and living happily ever after!
